Professor Anton Middelberg is an ARC Federation Fellow and the Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The University of Queensland. His research focuses on the science of chemical self-assembly processing, with the ultimate aim of defining new products and new process routes for the manufacture of existing products. Professor Middelberg has held academic positions at Adelaide, Queensland and Cambridge Universities, as well as a Fulbright fellowship at Berkeley. He has received a number of awards, has published more than 100 refereed papers at the interface between biology and engineering, and has editorial roles on several journals including Chemical Engineering Science and Trends in Biotechnology.
