March 2005 - A warm welcome to Alex Chan to the crystallization group. Alex joins the group from Hong Kong. December 2004 - Chirag Mehta started a project on the interaction of proteins in protein mixtures and their effect on crystallization kinetics. November 2004 - Well done Dora Lui! She has been awarded a Highly Commended Student position in the UniQuest Trailblazers 2004 competition for her work developing a method to produce concentrated liquid soy product. Welcome home Anh Tran, hope your time in the UK working on powder flows was fruitful. Stephan Tait has arrived back from a six week visit to the University of Delaware where he worked with people in the Centre of Molecular Engineering and Thermodynamics. September 2004 - Dr. Benu Adhikari has joined PSDC to continue work in droplet drying. Welcome back Rachel from your time in Newcastle, Australia (granule compression tests). A new student Nur Iswanto has joined the crystallization group working with Prof. Ted White on the growth rate dispersion behaviour in sugar crystallization. August 2004 - Nicoleta Balliu has graduated from her PhD and has left for Curtin University where she is now in a chemical engineering academic position. July 2004 - Anh Tran has left for the UK on a research trip to Birmingham University for 3 months. June 2004 - Qin Li has taken up an academic position at Curtin University. May 2004 - A warm welcome to our new attachment student Wei-Hong Tan from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore. Hope you enjoy your stay in Australia over the next six months. February 2004 - Dennis Golchert successfully completed his PhD and has left for the UK with his new wife Fiona. Congrats. December 2003 - Dr. Ying-He He has taken up an academic position (head of department). July 2003 - A new PhD candidate has joined PSDC to conduct research on drug delivery systems. Welcome Richard Dombrowski. May 2003 - Michael Kauter successfully passed his PhD oral defense. Dora Lui arrived back from her research trip to Du Pont in Delaware, United States. March 2003 - PhD candidates Rachel Smith and Dennis Golchert return from their overseas research trips. Rachel was based at Merck & Co Pharmaceuticals in Pennsylvania, United States while Dennis was based at the Technical University of Munich in Germany and the University of Leeds in England. March 2003 - Three new PhD candidates started with PSDC. They are Stephan Tait, Anh Tran and Nathanial von Muralt.
